STEM Classes for Kids
STEMpowered Girls
Women are underrepresented in STEM fields, and we can do something (fun!) about that by supporting girls. In this class, we work together, learn to challenge barriers, and explore exciting STEM activities. Girls grow their confidence in taking on STEM challenges and in seeing themselves as STEM-proficient.

Mechanics in Motion: Exploring Simple Machines
Ramps, levers, wheels, wedges, and more! Simple machines are all around us, making tasks a little (or a lot) easier. In these sessions, we learn about and play around with all the types of simple machines, exploring ways to solve problems.

Rock and Roll: Engineering Fun with Simple Vehicles
In these sessions, young people work with a variety of common materials to apply engineering and design principles, building lots of vehicles that fly, roll, and paddle.

Blast Off Basics: Exploring Simple Rockets
These sessions mix chemistry, engineering, math, and technology in the quest to launch a variety of materials off the ground and into the air.

Mix, React, Discover!
Vinegar and baking soda are just the beginning! In this series, young people experiment with chemistry in safe, educational, and sometimes messy ways (don't worry - we always clean up after ourselves).

Math Makers: Building Skills Through Play
In these sessions, young people tinker and play with materials and explore the world around us to connect "school math" to real life.
